The generosity of the people of Cork knows no bounds. Most people are feeling the post-Christmas pinch in January and charity is the last thing on their minds.
But in the space of 24 hours, one Cork event, Become, a self-love masterclass, sold 500 tickets, making the event an instant sell-out. The event will be hosted by broadcaster, Sile Seoige, and will take place on Sunday February 11 in the Charleville Park Hotel from 2pm to 5pm.
Love Cherish boutique owner, Maeve Dennehy, in collaboration with Brand Wagon events, put together this fun-filled afternoon in the spirit of Valentine’s Day and the theme is all around learning to love yourself first.
The event will mark the fifth anniversary of the award-winning Charleville boutique and all proceeds will go to Marymount University Hospice in Cork, in memory of Maeve’s sister, Karen, who passed away in 2013.
Within minutes of the event going live yesterday on Facebook and Instagram, the tickets sales were flying in. Owner Maeve has a sizeable following online and last year won the Xposé Boutique of the Year.
“I’m blown away by the support this event has generated and I’m delighted to be able to do this for such an amazing cause,” said Maeve.
Various other guest speakers will be doing fashion, hair and beauty demos, as well as some great tips from on self-care, confidence and meditation.
