If that isn’t enough enough to make you pre-order, read on!

‘The skin is an organ’ is the mantra of award-winning skincare expert, Jennifer Rock, also known as The Skin Nerd. And in The Skin Nerd: The Skin is an Organ – A 360° Approach to Your Healthiest Skin, she shares all the passion, knowledge and expertise she has gathered in her extensive career to bring us a beginners’ guide to healthy skin.

Written with her unique brand of humour and honesty, Jennifer’s first book will be jam-packed with skin-formation and advice, from the benefits of Spritz O’Clock, to her Ten Skin Commandments, her core Nerd Philosophies, specific skin conditions, product ingredients, to her bestselling COM (Cleanse Off Mitt) and how to look after your skin from the inside out, The Skin Nerd: The Skin is an Organ – A 360° Approach to Your Healthiest Skin is the first step on your life-long journey to healthier skin.

We’re huge fans of Jennifer and follow all of her skin advice religiously. Her passion and commitment to what she does is phenomenal, as is her knowledge of all things skin related. And, brilliantly, she’s able to convey this knowledge and expertise in a really fun, clear and accessible way. Jennifer is the undisputed Queen of Skincare and we’re very excited to be publishing this book with her,’ says Ciara Doorley, Editorial Director, Hachette Books Ireland.

And why should you trust the skin-formation from The Skin Nerd?

Jennifer Rock is an award-winning skin lecturer and a multi-award-winning dermal facialist and aesthetician. She is the founder of The Skin Nerd online skin consultancy and the Cleanse Off Mitt makeup removal tool. She has lectured alongside world-renowned dermatologists such as Dr Marc Ronert of IMAGE Skincare and Dr Ahmar Khan, the co-creator of the London Harley Street Medical Hospital.

Jennifer realised her passion for skin health when she was brought for her first facial by her mother at the tender age of thirteen. After years of working as a skin therapist, lecturing worldwide and being the brand ambassador for multiple cosmeceutical skincare brands, she became The Skin Nerd, using social media to get skin-formation out there, sometimes through the medium of song.

Nowadays, you’ll find her standing at the helm of The Skin Nerd HQ, on television, in the pages of well-known publications and speaking on the radio. Her end goal is to put as many people as possible on the road to skin health.

The hardback book will be released in September.
