As always, Ball Gowns are part of every designer collection for 2015, after all every girl wants to be a princess, don’t we? They are taking a much softer look, however, with the mix of lighter organza, tulle and lace fabrics. As well as keeping with tradition, this is a very practical trend, as the bride can still wear the ‘Ball Gown’ without the discomfort of layers and layers of heavy fabrics, as seen in previous seasons.
Striking Back detail can be seen on many styles in 2015. This is in the form of lace, embellishment, pearl or even very low cut-out backs for the more daring bride! I always think the back of the dress is as important, if not more, than the front of the dress. After all, it’s what most of us see during the ceremony and throughout the day.
Surprisingly enough, Strapless dresses are still very much on trend. Not every bride wants the ‘bare shoulder’ look however, so adding a bolero or cover up is a very clever idea. These are made of sheer, chiffon, satin, lace or fur dependant on the style of the dress. The bolero/cover up can look like it is part of the dress, provided it’s styled correctly and can look amazing. Many of our brides choose to take off the bolero/cover up in the evening time, giving a more relaxed look for the party.
To summarise, although trends haven’t changed too drastically, designers have added twists to make the 2015 bride more comfortable, glamorous and stylish.
