Lishh Homemade Soda Bread
Ingredients:
- 200g of Plain White Flour
- 200g of Howards Whole Meal Flour
- 2 level teaspoon of bread soda
- 2 level teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 egg
- ¾ of pint buttermilk
Method:
- Sieve the white flour, bread soda and baking powder in the bowl
- Add brown flour & mix all dry ingredients
- Add the buttermilk & egg. Mix well
- Make sure all ingredients are mixed well and there is no trace of flour
- Grease a 1lb baking loaf tin well and add the bread mix (I like to add sesame seeds on top but you can dust with brown flour or and seeds that you make have hanging around)
- Bake at 170 in a preheated oven for 50 minutes
- Once cooked, turn upside down and leave on a wire rack to cool ( If you can)
