Best Vegan Brand- Codex Beauty
Codex Beauty bought the small Irish skincare company Bia Beauty owned by Cork native Tracey Ryan last year making it part of Codex Beauty’s global skincare collective. We all love an Irish success story and it all really has been a dream come true for Tracey. For anybody that isn’t familiar with it I would urge you to try it. It’s aromatic, practically packaged and just feels so sumptumous on the skin. Their most recent success was gaining some much sought after space in ARI at Dublin Airport. Paris Jackson used Irish made products from Codex Beauty’s Bia collection to achieve her Oscars look. They have won two of our coveted best beauty buys this year and Tracey the founder of Bia won an Inspiring award in 2019.
Best Irish Make- up Brand- Fuschia
Founded in Drogheda in 2005 this brand started small but is now mighty. I feel in recent times the brand has really come into it’s own and produced some pretty perfect palettes. The lauches of the mineral range has seen the brand grow hugely and their take off into McCauley has meant that Fuschia is well and truly on the high street. My personal favourite launch recently is the Billions palette which was blingy and offers a great colour selection to go natural or sexy smoky. The founder Gillian Moore pasiionate and wants to being The Fuschia Effect to women all over Ireland.
Best Influencer Brand- Luna by Lisa
What can we say about Lisa Jordan that hasn’t already been said? When it launched there was blanket press and social media coverage from fans and experts, unanimous in its praise of the brand’s founder She has released some absolute treasure pieces in the last few years and has hit all of the right notes when it comes to quality and value for money. The brand itself is classy , the products are really easy to use and suit our pockets. The Luna leave in conditioner has been a hero for so many of us, tradtional treatments sometimes make my stubbornly Celtic mop droop despairingly, but not Luna. That is why we agree that she is a winner!
Best Green Brand – Holos
A game-changing new skincare range is closing the gap between natural plant-derived skincare and cosmeceuticals. The innovative Irish skincare brand, handmade by Holos in County Wexford, has created a range that is 100% plant derived, vegan, cruelty-free and eco-friendly. However, Super Natural Activity also contains scientifically proven active natural ingredients that are truly anti-ageing and seriously effective in caring for skin. For the first time a skincare collection has managed to harmonise nature, science and consciousness. Niamh Hogan, Holos creator, says of the new high-impact ethical skincare.
“We spent a year sourcing from supply partners with strong ethics who could guarantee vegan, cruelty-free, plant-derived active ingredients, as well as eco-approved natural preservatives”. The collection of four new beauty products in the Super Natural Activity range complements other Holos products and ranges and can be used in conjunction with them.
Most buzzed about Influencer Collab – BPerfect X Jah Clientele Collection
Truthfully Bperfect have always been superb at launches and collaborations but their latest one with Jah was truly something dreams were made of. Professional make up artists, influencers and aspiring make up mavens ensured that this collaboration was a resounding success. Irish people are notoriously clued in about make up so it was just as well everything from the selction of colours to the pigment was top notch. The lashes were suited to every eye shape and i got to reuse mine more than once.
After lengthy development and research, together they created a new take on the nude palette that’s versatile enough to transition from a healthy glow for day looks, to sophisticated glamour for evenings.
Containing a stunning selection of versatile nudes, tropical greens and a cocktail of cranberries, this combination of matte and shimmer shades is designed to be a go-to palette.
