The much-loved show is offering helicopter rides for visitors on Saturday and Sunday, 14 and 15 June.
As well as hundreds of animals and pets, there is a very special bird at the Cork Summer Show 2019 in Curraheen this weekend. For the first time ever at the show, visitors to the Cork Summer Show will get a whole new perspective on the massive family event and agricultural show, when they see it from 1000 feet up in the sky! The much-loved show is offering helicopter rides for visitors on Saturday and Sunday, 14 and 15 June.
Speaking from the Munster Agricultural Showgrounds where the set up for the show is already well underway, Chairman Robert Harkin said:
“Cork Summer Show always offers lots of thrills and fun for visitors, and this year the limit is the sky! There is nothing quite like the sensation of hovering in a powerful, fast-moving helicopter – and you can really take in the size and scale of this show, whilst also admiring the breath-taking countryside of Cork, and local landmarks. It’s a super new addition to the show and one which we believe will be very popular indeed. Don’t miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to take a trip on a helicopter this weekend.”
Photography and video are welcome on board the helicopter rides so that the experience can be shared with friends and family. Booking for the helicopter rides is recommended at www.adventure001.ie/packages/pf-css Prices for one adult is €39, with child and adult rate of €75 and a family of four rate of €145.
They’ll be plenty of action for those who don’t like to fly high, with live music from Frank & Walters, Stephanie Rainey and the Naildrivers as well as entertainment for the little ones from Billy Bubbles, Punch & Judy and lots more. The largest food market in the country, Cork Summer Show will be packed to the brim with artisan food from the county, cookery demonstrations, fashion shows, craft workshops and courses, gardening, motors, drone racing, as well as all the usual cattle, sheep, poultry, pony games and horse competitions.
