Bikram Yoga Cork was the first heated yoga studio to open in Munster, providing people with a new way of increasing their flexibility and strength, recovering from injury, improving their health and relieving stress. How is this different from the yoga we are familiar with? Bikram yoga is performed in a heated room!
“We have a variety of classes for all bodies: Bikram yoga 90min, Express Bikram 60min, Warm Flow 60min, and non-heated classes – Vinyasa yoga 60min and Gentle Yin yoga 60min.
“We also cater for private classes for businesses, customising classes to suit each group. This can be a one-off class or a set of classes. These are available at Bikram Yoga Cork or in your workplace.”
Kate McNamara took her first yoga class in 2002 and quickly it became a daily habit she could not miss. Three years later she travelled to the US to train as a Bikram Yoga Instructor and spent six years teaching and travelling all over the world. “I returned to Ireland to open Bikram Yoga Cork. My love for heated yoga and desire to bring it to Cork was the driving force that helped me work through all the challenges of opening a new business in the middle of a recession.”
Bikram Yoga Cork returns to Fota Wildlife Park to bring a flowing and gentle class of Yin inspired yoga, suitable for all levels on four Sundays – July 15 and 29 and August 12 and 26. Mats and all equipment will be provided. The classes are including in your entry price; however, booking is essential. There is a choice of 12pm or 2pm one-hour classes.
