Joanne Woods The Beauty Specialists Present the Next Generation In Flawless Facials …The HydraFacial

What do Beyonce, Diddy, Kate Winslet, Paris Hilton, Sofia Richie, James Charles, Destiny Child’s Michelle Williams, Brittany Snow, Giuliana & Bill Rancic, Amy Poehler, The Hills Whitney Port, Jennie Garth, Suki Waterhouse, Denise Van Outen, Alex Gerrard, Shahs of Sunset Mercedes Javid and Stars of the Real Housewives franchise Kim Zolciak, Teresa Giudice, Peggy Sulahian, Dolores Catania all have in common? The HydraFacial.

Available now at Joanne Woods Beauty Specialists in Dundalk, the HydraFacial is no longer a celebrity’s well-kept secret. In 2018 the HydraFacial was performed on someone every 15 seconds. The perfect facial to have before a big event, or even your wedding day, The Hydra Facial uses a gentle vacuum-like technology to clean out pores and supply the skin with the moisture and active ingredients it’s craving for a plumper, dewier, smoother look with no downtime in the way you skin may need with other facial treatments. Designed to help smooth fine lines, discoloration and wrinkles. The principal is simple but effective – deep cleansing and exfoliation, extraction and finally hydration, by infusing skin with intensive serums.

When speaking about The HydraFacial, Joanne said “At Joanne Woods Beauty, we ensure our clients are treated to the newest innovations in skincare and that is exactly what the HydraFacial is. We are in awe with the results it produces and is easy to tailor to every skin type we work with. It enhances the skin with no downtime making it the perfect facial option for big occasions.”

Tell us about yourself, your salon, job profile, etc.

I began my journey in the beauty industry over 15 years ago and opened my own salon 3 years ago. I am a person that is dedicated to the industry I work and thrive in – Beauty. I work tirelessly at sourcing the latest technology, trends and research on all areas of beauty. I love to plant seeds and watch them grow, as I do with new treatments and talent in my salon. I surround myself with the best in the business and the same goes with my personal life. Raising three children and managing a salon it’s like having two families.

The salon is a place filled with positivity, friendship and learning. It’s a tranquil place in a bustling town, where men and women can take a seat or a bed, whatever is required, to relax, chat if they need and get truly the best treatments we offer. Myself? I take lead and have a well trusted team I can delegate too. The salon became so busy I needed to take on a full-time manager. Her role is that exactly. I learned that I had to delegate, we are always learning and growing. But as Managing Director and Owner, the buck always stops with me.  Owner, teacher, leader and I hope inspirer.

Who has inspired you in your life and why?

There are a few people that mould and shape who you are. Of course, my late mother, who tirelessly worked, and battled a long fight with Cancer which ultimately took her from us. Her courage and putting others first before her needs inspired be greatly, I will never forget those traits. She always encouraged my life decisions and helped with my family life to ultimately achieve my goals today…

If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three things would you have and why?

Hoping water is already there! I couldn’t go without a mirror… just because I’m on a desert island I can’t let appearances slide, and a pen and paper to write down my experience on the Island.

What three things do you need to be successful in your job?

Dedication, be good at whatever you do, do your best and give it 110%. Knowledge know about your industry and have a thirst for knowledge. Always be learning and have an ability to communicate. Listen to your customers and moving trends as peoples demands are always changing.

How do you define success and how do you measure up to your own definition?

If you’re happy, you have achieved success in life. Success is also making sure the people you meet walk away with something positive from you. Success doesn’t have to mean money but creating somewhere where others and your family can flourish, which makes all the hard work worthwhile.

Which of the two animals would you say you are most like — a sheep or a wolf — and why?

I am the Wolf. Hungry, always for knowledge, and lead my pack with courage at the forefront.
