Khal, you have a very successful salon in Dubai and you recently acquired one in Cork. Can you tell us a little bit about your professional profile?

I have over 25 years’ experience in the hair industry. I have worked on many international fashion shows, workshops, magazines and as an educator with top international brands. I am passionate about creating beautiful hair and bring an international flair with Middle Eastern meets European styling to Kals Salon.

Who is the most famous client you have ever worked on?

I have worked with many stars over the years, from Cate Blanchett and husband and wife duo Mark Ruffalo and Sunrise Coigney.

What attracted you to the hairdressing industry?

My passion for hair began at the age of 16, when I started my hairdressing career in hairdressing college. I was drawn to the industry as I loved fashion, art and being creative.

How did you get to where you are today, both professionally and geographically?

I am originally from Lebanon. It is there I started my career aged 16 and from there I made a name for myself. I then moved to Dubai and launched Hair Lounge Hair & Beauty Salons. While in Dubai, I met and married my Irish wife and in 2017 we moved to Ireland along with our four little girls. In 2018, I launched my first Irish salon, Kals Salon.
