To coincide with the blossoming of the apple trees in their extensive orchards, Longueville House annually marks this special occasion by hosting an Orchard Blossom walk and talk, followed by a tour of the cider house and on-site distillery.

With the guidance of William O’Callaghan (owner), you will discover the pleasure of this exciting process here at Longueville House where all is grown and made on site.

Afterwards, weather dependent, William and his team will prepare a special lunch which includes what’s in season and best available from our Walled Kitchen Garden and Estate. Weather permitting this will incorporate a free-range hog roast centre point to luncheon washed down with lashings of Longueville House Cider. A fun and educational day for all concerned.

Here’s what happens –

Participants meet at Longueville House Hotel. A brief introduction to Guides and maps of the Longueville Estate orchards are distributed. Participants are encouraged to bring wellies or hiking boots and layered clothing for extra comfort. Group then sets off with guides for an educational talk and tour of our orchards, cider house and distillery.

Groups return to Hotel to clean up, followed by a welcome glass of our seasonal house cider cocktail.

A highlight of the day is our legendary luncheon. This follows in our Presidents’ Restaurant/ Turner Conservatory with a specially chosen three-course buffet meal by William and his team.
