Irish Sculptures to adorn the Victorian Sunken Gardens at Luxury Cork Hotel.
In keeping with Montenotte Hotel’s commitment to supporting Irish artists, 35 works of art from Irish sculptors will be exhibited in the stunning gardens of the Cork city boutique hotel from June 27, 2019.
Sculptures by Orla de Bri, Ciaran Patterson, Ray Delaney, Anna Campbell and more will adorn gardens for guests of the hotel to peruse and enjoy among the flower-scented sunken Victorian garden at the Montenotte Hotel. The Irish sculpture exhibition is being hosted in association with the Kildare Gallery.
Speaking ahead of the launch of the unique sculpture exhibition, Montenotte Hotel General Manager Brian Bowler said:
“We continue to showcase and support Irish artists through our Artist in Residence programme and also through this important exhibition of Irish sculpture. The works range in themes and scale, and we are excited that these stunning sculptures will be displayed against the backdrop of our gardens here at the Montenotte Hotel.”
“We have curated a special collection by Irish sculptors for this exhibition at the Montenotte Hotel in Cork. It’s the first time that an exhibition of this size will come to Munster, and many of the pieces will be available to purchase. It is an ideal way to see sculptures in a natural outdoor setting, and we look forward to welcoming the guests of the Montenotte Hotel to the exhibition over the coming weeks,” said Ruth Liddle, Kildare Gallery.
The exhibition of Irish sculpture will run from June 27 until July 14, when guests and visitors to the Montenotte Hotel can enjoy this special display of Irish art in a picturesque outdoor setting.
