Trigon Hotels will be taking a break from their laptops and computers this Friday for Workplace Wellbeing Day. Team members will be switching off from their emails for the morning and recharging their mental batteries.

It’s one of a number of activities planned by the hotel group, which comprises the Metropole Hotel and Cork International Hotel.  Trigon Hotels is committed to fostering a culture of wellness among its team members, recognising the integral role it plays in overall workplace satisfaction and productivity.

Among the lineup of events designed to invigorate and rejuvenate team members is “Cook with Alex,” an interactive cookery class led by Group Executive Chef, Alex Petit.

Participants will learn about the importance of nutritious eating habits and will be shown how to create delectable dishes from start to finish.

“Run with Roger” is aimed at those who are inclined towards a more active start to the day.  The general manager of the Metropole Hotel, Roger Russell, will lead an early morning run through the picturesque streets of Cork City.  Team members will be given the opportunity to bond with their colleagues while they pound the pavement together, setting the tone for the productive day ahead.

“Dander with Davina” offers a serene alternative for those seeking a leisurely outdoor experience.  Accommodation Manager, Davina Murphy, will guide participants on a tranquil stroll on the grounds of the Cork International Hotel and the Cork Airport Business Park.  With each step, attendees will have the opportunity to reconnect with nature, unwind from the pressures of daily life, and embrace the therapeutic benefits of outdoor exercise.

Kathleen Linehan is the Strategic Director of Human Resources at Trigon Hotels.  She said; “By fostering moments of mindfulness and promoting genuine human connections, Trigon Hotels aims to cultivate a workplace culture that prioritises holistic wellness and work-life balance.  As an organisation deeply committed to the wellbeing of its team members, Trigon Hotels recognises that investing in employee health and happiness will result in enhanced job satisfaction and retention but also foster a more engaged and productive workforce.”
