Let’s talk Barbie.

Now unless you’ve been living in a bubble  or under a rock you’ll know that the media world has gone bananas for Barbie.

The Barbie movie has turned the whole world pink and I for one am loving it.  Every where I look there’s a Barbie brand collab- Burger King, crocs, Zara, Vans, Nyx, O.P.I …I could name hundreds.

Karen Millen €99

River Island €127

Zara x Barbie €89.95

Never Fully Dressed from €130

Barbie has set social media alight with all things pink – Barbie reels, Barbie songs (‘Hi Barbie’ plays over and over in my head on repeat). It’s a content creators dream. Quite literally everyone has jumped on the Barbie bandwagon.
You cannot deny that the marketing has been superb. I, of course, have my tickets purchased already to go and see the Barbie movie with my gal pals this weekend having been the biggest Barbie lover ever back in the day and it really really does look like a great, fun movie so I’m looking forward to it – I may even get on theme and wear pink because why not?!

Margot Robbie’s stylist Andrew Mukamal has absolutely nailed the Barbie outfit recreations and she looked stunning in every single premier and press tour ensemble. She’s given us Pucci, Prada, Versace, vintage Vivienne Westwood and custom Schiaparelli (my favourite look) to name a few.

Mango- From €50

Now whilst I personally would not necessarily wear something with a giant Barbie logo on it I do however love me a vibrant pink piece and magenta just happens to be the Pantone colour of the year sooo we are going Barbiecore with this months column. It just had to be done.  I have found some beautiful, bright and Barbie worthy fits from a range of brands to suit all kinds of occasions and events from suits to slip dresses so if you love pink you are in for a treat.

Happy Shopping,

Love,
