In 2018, EFT—also known as tapping—completely changed my life. After hitting extreme burnout in my hair business, I started experiencing debilitating anxiety and panic attacks that left me unable to function or live a normal life, for a short time. It was overwhelming, exhausting, and, at times, terrifying.

In my husband’s desperate search for help, he came across EFT, and from the moment I tried it, the effects were instant. I walked into my first session barely able to communicate, weighed down by fear and exhaustion. But by the time I left, I was giggling, chatty, and feeling lighter than I had in years. It gave me an overwhelming sense of just being present.


This experience changed everything for me. I knew I had to share this not just for my own healing journey, but to help my clients break free from the stress, fear, and limitations that hold them back.

What is EFT and How Does It Work?

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is an energy-based practice that works on the body’s meridian lines—the same energy pathways used in acupuncture. By gently tapping on specific points on the face and body while focusing on an emotion, thought, or belief, EFT helps to release stuck energy and rewire the way we process stress and emotions.

The best part? It works fast. Our thoughts and emotions create energetic patterns in the body, and when we feel fear, anxiety, or self-doubt, that energy gets trapped. Tapping sends a calming signal to the nervous system, telling the body it’s safe to let go. That’s why you can go from feeling completely overwhelmed to calm and grounded in just a few minutes.

I’ve used EFT to help myself and my clients with everything from stress, self-doubt, and grief to fear of judgment and burnout. It’s simple, powerful, and once you learn it, you can use it anytime, anywhere to shift your mindset and energy.

Using EFT to Shift Your Energy

I’ve seen EFT create powerful shifts in both my own life and in the lives of my clients. It’s helped people overcome self-doubt, release fears, reduce stress, and even clear deep-seated money blocks that were holding them back from success.

One of the simplest ways to experience EFT is to try a quick tapping sequence the next time you feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck:

  1. Acknowledge what you’re feeling – Maybe it’s stress, fear, frustration, or a belief like“I’m not good enough.”
  2. Rate the intensity – On a scale of 1 to 10, how strong is this feeling right now?
  3. Tap through the points – While tapping gently, say:
    • “Even though I feel [stressed/anxious/etc.], I deeply and completely accept myself.”
    • “I feel this energy stuck in my body, but I’m open to releasing it.”
    • “I choose to feel lighter, calmer, and more in control.”
  4. Take a deep breath and check in – How does the feeling shift? Often, within just a few rounds, people feel a noticeable sense of relief and ease.
