Irish Luxury Group VYKO Announce License Acquisition of OniriQ, Ireland’s First International Luxury Publication

The agreement marks VYKO’s first international publishing license, with the first edition of OniriQ Ireland launching alongside the 2027 Ryder Cup.

Irish luxury group VYKO has secured the exclusive rights to publish and distribute the Irish edition of French luxury magazine OniriQ. The agreement also marks the launch of VYKO Media, a new division that will spearhead the company’s national and  international media strategy.

This partnership represents not only VYKO Group’s first international publishing acquisition but a significant milestone in founder Ashley McDonnell’s ambition to build Ireland’s first integrated luxury ecosystem spanning brands, media, fashion, technology and cultural experiences.

OniriQ was founded in Paris by publishing mogul Dominique Busso, founder of 360BusinessMedia, who holds the French licence for Time and Sports Illustrated. The magazine has established itself as one of France’s leading luxury titles, covering fashion, jewellery, watches, beauty, design, travel, gastronomy and contemporary culture.

Under the agreement, VYKO Group has secured the exclusive rights to publish and distribute OniriQ Ireland nationally as well as in the UK and USA, making VYKO the first entity to publish an official licensed edition of the magazine outside of France.

Launching in September 2027 as both a premium print and digital publication, OniriQ Ireland will coincide with the Ryder Cup, positioning Ireland’s luxury economy before one of the country’s largest international audiences. Distribution will include premium retailers, 5* hotels and hospitality venues across Ireland, alongside curated distribution throughout the United Kingdom and United States.

Ashley McDonnell, Founder and CEO of VYKO Group, said: “Dominique has built an outstanding publication in Paris and we’re honoured that Ireland will become the first international home for OniriQ, followed by the UK and USA, under VYKO. Securing the exclusive rights to publish the Irish edition as well as the first English language edition is an important first step in building a globally recognised and distributed luxury media business from Ireland. We have three more publications in the pipeline to solidify Ireland’s coverage within the  international media landscape – creating platforms for Ireland’s cultural leaders to grace covers, and for Irish creative and journalistic talent to showcase their work.

I wholeheartedly believe in the power of print and traditional media, and its significance in building a legitimate presence for Irish, home grown brands and talent to tell their stories to global audiences. In a time when there is an unprecedented volume of noise online, I see the role of publications as a curator of exceptional content for their readers – something I’m excited to do as we launch the first international edition of OniriQ.

France is our closest neighbour in the European Union and has cultural influence on the world of luxury, lifestyle, cuisine, fashion and beyond – all of the themes that will be core to the publication and our expression of Ireland through OniriQ.”

Dominique Busso, Founder of 360BusinessMedia, said: “Ireland is a natural first international step for OniriQ. The country has a rare combination of cultural depth, creative energy and growing global relevance across luxury, hospitality, design and entrepreneurship. Ashley and VYKO understand the power of premium storytelling, and we are proud to see Ireland become the first licensed international edition of OniriQ.”

The publication will provide an international platform for Irish luxury brands, hospitality, tourism, fashion, design and entrepreneurship while expanding OniriQ’s European presence through its first licensed international edition.
