Inside Linda Kiely’s Private Designer Wardrobe: €150,000 Luxury Collection To Go On Sale For One Day Only, With All Proceeds Going To Charity
For more than two decades, Irish entrepreneur and philanthropist Linda Kiely quietly built one of the country’s most impressive private designer wardrobes. Now she is parting with some of her most coveted pieces in aid of charity.
In partnership with Cork-founded luxury resale platform Luxury Exchange, Linda and her husband Dan Kiely are releasing an extraordinary edit of Linda’s personal collection in a one-day charity shopping event taking place at Studio 10, Wicklow Street, Dublin on Saturday, 18 July.
Featuring more than 300 pieces of Linda’s private collection, valued at over €150,000. The exclusive sale will offer fashion lovers the rare opportunity to shop exceptional ready-to-wear, footwear, and accessories alongside a number of one-of-a-kind garments from some of the world’s most sought-after fashion houses including Chanel, Dior, Balmain, Gucci, Tom Ford and many more.
With prices beginning at just €29 up to €5,000, every item has been personally selected from Linda’s wardrobe, with many pieces carrying memories from milestone moments throughout Linda and Dan’s journey building one of Ireland’s most successful entrepreneurial stories.
More importantly, 100% of net proceeds from the sale will be donated to My Lovely Horse Rescue and St Luke’s Home, Cork, with Luxury Exchange waiving its commission entirely to maximise the charitable contribution.
Renowned for her fearless approach to fashion and impeccable eye for luxury design, Linda’s wardrobe spans more than twenty years of collecting iconic investment pieces, many of which have never before been available on the Irish pre-loved market.
The event also celebrates the growing movement towards circular luxury fashion, giving exceptional designer pieces a new life while making luxury fashion more accessible than ever before. Collections of this calibre and scale rarely become available in Ireland, making this one of the most significant private wardrobe sales ever to take place in the country.
When speaking about the sale, Linda Kiely said: “These pieces have given me so much joy over the years. Clothes are never just clothes to me. They are part of how I step into the world, into work, into celebrations, and into all the ordinary days in between. I have loved these pieces and the memories attached to them, but it feels right now that they should have another life. I hope whoever finds something in the collection wears it with joy, and I am very happy that the sale will support two causes that mean so much to our family.”
Reflecting on his wife’s collection, Dan Kiely said: “Linda has always had such an incredible eye, and these pieces mean something to her. We wanted them to have a second life and to do some good along the way. Working with a Cork business, and supporting causes close to our family, felt like the right way to do it. St Luke’s cared for Linda’s family with real warmth, and My Lovely Horse Rescue is a cause we’ve admired for a long time.”
Caitríona McGettigan, co-founder of Luxury Exchange, said: “This is one of the most special collections we have ever handled. Linda’s style is brave, distinctive and deeply personal, and the quality of the pieces is exceptional. Ready-to-wear collections like this rarely come to market in Ireland, especially with this level of scale and story behind them. We are proud to be handling the sale, and even prouder that 100% of net proceeds will support two charities that mean so much to Linda and Dan.”
A second release of Linda’s private collection is planned for August, when a curated selection of Linda’s luxury handbags will be offered through a live Luxury Exchange TikTok auction.
Each item sold will undergo Luxury Exchange’s expert in-house authentication process alongside independent third-party authentication technology, ensuring complete confidence for buyers. It is certainly not to be missed.
