With the launch of Armani’s A/W collection at the two haute couture shows at the Petit Palais yesterday, we got an insight into next seasons makeup trends.

Armani Code

Words change over time, while aesthetic, social and cultural references that reflect ways of life take on new meanings. Today, Giorgio Armani reworks the concept of the “folk” style that emerged between the end of the 1980s and the early 1990s to express a new freshness that, while inspired by a phenomenon of the past, illuminates this look in a modern way, as in a game of mirrors.

Linda Cantello, Giorgio Armani’s International Makeup Artist, interprets Armani Privé Fall Winter 2019 in make-up: “Reworking the strong Armani Beauty Code of the early 90s, we emphasized the top lashes for a simple graphic eye. A diva-like attitude to celebrate Armani.”

Step-by-step

Face

Prepare and massage skin with Crema Nera Supreme Reviving Cream Light, ensuring the cream is well absorbed. Then apply Armani Prima Skin Perfector Trouble Zones all over the forehead and on the T-zone to mattify the skin. Apply Powder Fabric foundation in the lightest shade that is still flattering. If the skin is dry, use Designer Lift foundation. Then using Neo Nude A-Contour in shade #20, contour under the cheekbones to sculpt and define the face.

Eyes

Apply fake lashes in a straight, elongated way to extend past the outside eye corner making sure they are straight and not up or down. Then use Eyes to Kill mascara on real lashes in #1 (black) to fusion the two. Lastly apply Smooth Silk Eye Pencil in #4 (black) on the upper lash line and on the outside eye corner in an arrow shape.

Lips

Apply Lip Maestro in shade #204, “Nuda”, from the Lip Freeze collection. Powder at the end with Luminous Silk Compact in a light shade.
