Irish jewellery designer to the stars, Bláithín Ennis has launched some beautiful new additions to her best-selling and very dramatic Sea of Stars collection.
Celebrity fans of the Wexford designer’s work include Vogue Williams, Amy Huberman, Una Healy and Kathryn Thomas!
Inspired by travel to the exotic Maldive islands, the ‘Sea of Stars’ collection features vibrant coloured glass crystals, delicately set by hand in Bláithín’s Wexford studio.
There are striking studs, statement drop earrings, elegant chains, pendants, and bracelets, and stand-out shimmering rings, to mix and match, in the stunning contemporary range.
Each design is two-sided, for light-reflecting sparkle that radiates luxury from every angle. Made in thickly plated 18kt gold, the lightweight but robust pieces epitomise style.
The collection comes in two striking colourways, reflecting enchanting coral reefs, vivid sea life, glowing turquoise waters and white sands. Citrine yellow and azure blue mimics the queen angelfish, while the vibrantly-coloured clownfish comes to life in intense crimson crystal, paired with imperial blue, and hints of white opal. ‘Pink Melissa’ is the new colourway from Sea of Stars, in silver and shell pink!
The new collection ‘Sea of Stars – Pink Melissa’ was inspired by Bláithín’s adventures snorkelling in the Indian ocean last year. The incredible crystal-clear waters of the ocean, the small iridescent pearl-like pink Melissa shells and the sugary white sands of the islands all inspired this bright and light collection.
According to Bláithín, “the colours, patterns and of course the aesthetic of my surroundings were the starting point for me. It felt almost cartoon-like; the colours were so vivid. We also had an underwater camera, which proved useful and helped me further develop and research the collection I wanted to design. I really wanted to make pieces full of abundant colour for my customers. I spotted some gorgeous pink Melissa shells and combined with the glowing crystal waters; this formed the second colour story of the collection – ‘Pink Melissa’. These unique pieces are the ultimate luxury accessory for your long-awaited holiday in the sunshine and will also take you effortlessly from season to season.”
