A Free, All-Ages Neighbourhood Gathering Bringing Laid-Back Festival Vibes to the Heart of the Docklands

Bolands Mills is thrilled to announce Chill at the Mill, an exciting neighbourhood summer block party that promises to transform the historic Dublin landmark into the ultimate summer hangout spot. Landing to the docklands from 12pm to 6pm on Saturday, 15th August, this free, all ages event invites families, friends and neighbours to gather and soak up the sunshine.

Chill at the Mill is bringing the energy of a sunny weekend festival into the city. With a great mix of live entertainment and food and drink, the event offers every attendee a reason to stick around and mingle with family, friends and neighbours.

• The afternoon will be soundtracked by a lineup of Ireland’s favourite DJ’s, including RTE 2FM’s Graham Smyth, BBC Radio 1 Dance presenter January Winters and Dublin-based DJ SAZ.
• Beyond the music, the block party features a great lineup of food, drink, games and activities across the site. 
• NPAS (National Performing Arts School Dublin) will host a children’s disco from 12pm – 3pm at The Factory space in Bolands Mills.
• Reformation will host beginner-friendly pilates classes from 3 – 6pm. 
• There will also be mini-golf, children’s play area, festival face-painting and an ice cream van.

This vibrant celebration takes place across the newly restored, 150-year-old Bolands Mills site.

Punctuating the Docklands skyline for over a century and a half, Bolands Mills have always been a fundamental part of the social and economic life of the area. During the Easter Rising in 1916, the buildings were famously occupied by rebel forces, cementing their place in history. The journey to restore the site is now complete, showcasing an exciting blend of old and new. The site now features over 50,000 square feet of newly landscaped outdoor areas and 30,000 square feet of retail and community space. Place names honour illustrious figures from the past, while artwork tells stories of the mill’s heritage. The revitalisation ensures the site will remain at the centre of the neighbourhood’s cultural, commercial, and social life for years to come.
