Ahead of her appearance to cut the ribbon on the brand new BPerfect Mega Store in Cork I had a glass of Tanora with Ekin Su, the darling of Love island and all round beauty to chat make up, skincare and songs. She loved Cork and has a big love for new places and shopping!

Do you have a make up icon?
Not really to be honest. I never look at another woman and think I want that makeup look. Mainly I think because I might have a different shaped eye or my style is different. Makeup is so much about personality and how some people love to wear a lot and others find a subtle look works best for them. I think we should all work hard on being our own icon and finding what suits us,
What was your first ever make up purchase?
When I was fourteen I bought Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse. That was the look at the time, a darker face and a white neck, we used to call it Wotsit Face. Not something I will be revisiting soon. Plus the BPerfect store now has a colour matching service for their foundations and their shade range is perfect. So no more Wotsit face!
Have you ever had a makeup disaster?
Yes I have, I suppose everyone has. I went out with my friends to a club and I had done a really heavy smokey eye and lashes and was dancing but didn’t realise my lashes were coming off and the eyeshadow had run down my face. My friend was asking me what happened to me. It was an accidental Halloween Moment when I looked in the mirror.I looked like I had been punched in the eye. I was wearing coloured contacts and one of them had fallen out which added to the overall creepy look. In my defence I was 21 and clubbing so there was a lot of dancing and fun. A lesson learned for sure. Thankfully I don’t have any pictures.
What is your favourite step of your makeup?
Before applying your makeup, exfoliate your skin, nothing is better than fresh skin to apply your makeup to. It gives a nice clean start and the perfect blank canvas to apply your Ekin Su Radiant Glow, which is always my first thing when I apply post skincare. Skincare is so important because it sets the base for everything, you can use the best make up in the world but the skin is really the key to the look. What is the B Perfect underrated product ?
My EkinSu Palette. I feel everyone loves the base product but the versatility of the amazing palette is something I am proud of. It has everything, such a good range of colours that suit everyone and the ability to take you from day to night. It focuses on definition and glow, two things that are adaptable to every type of makeup wearer. It is the one product that I feel every makeup lover could use, even if you are a novice. The colours go so well together and the fact it’s slim and can fit in a clutch is great. I am obsessed with it.

Waterproof mascara – Because if it’s hot you don’t want a mascara disaster.
The Ekin Su Radiant because it has the glow Vitamin E and Hyaluronic acid. Glowy skin looks good in all climates and it has a unifying colour that will make your skin look even.
SPF Lip Balm – Such an essential all year round but especially for the desert island.
Instagram or Tik Tok?
Instagram. I think Tik Tok is for the younger generations and I don’t really know how to use it as much. I think although I love it, Instagram for me is more relatable although that is still a relatively new platform too.
