The weather may not be great this summer, but the creative crew at Lu & Mol’s in Gorey are determined to make the most of it, with plenty of sparkle and fun. New launches, seasonal offers and party occasions are practically a monthly event at the popular destination for premium affordable jewellery, gifts and accessories, in the sunny south-east.
August sees the launch of new additions to the popular Coastal Vibe jewellery collection, featuring cast shells and sea motifs from Ballymoney Beach.
Dryberg/Kern
Exciting new season collections arrive in-store from 5th August of the uniquely stylish DRYBERG/KERN jewellery brand.
All DYRBERG/KERN design is managed from their design studio in Copenhagen, Denmark, where a skilled team of designers sketch the collections. Materials, such as pearls, stones, crystals and leather are sourced all over the world, from Italy, China or Africa, depending on the season. The range includes necklaces, bracelets and earrings and costs from €85-€115.
To celebrate the launch of the new additions to the Coastal Vibe Collection pieces and the DRYBERG/KERN new season launch and just because the ladies at Lu & Mol like a party, there is a customer appreciation day at on Friday, 16th August, with bubbles, a showcase of gorgeous, curated jewellery looks and late opening until 7:30pm.
Say I love you or you’re my Best Friend
The latest new trend in permanent personal adornment, welded anklets and bracelets, is exclusively available in Lu & Mol’s, the only place in the South-east of the country to offer such a service.
A choice of silver and gold welded anklets can be attached to the body, as one continuous chain that cannot be taken off, and don’t have a clasp. The permanent jewellery is ideal for anyone forgetful, anyone who loses jewellery, who likes a perfect fit, or who just dislikes uncomfortable clasps that get in the way!
Welded anklets, single or multiple, are curated in Lu & Mol’s private studio, and are especially popular in summertime. The jewellery is easily rewelded if it catches on something, and can be snipped off, if needed. Anyone over the age of ten can have permanent jewellery, as the process is completely safe and pain-free. The price is also pain free as it costs just €50 for the service.
Welded jewellery is a great meaningful present and a fun experience with a partner or friend, Áine Breen, the Lu & Mol owner, says.
It’s a nice thing to do with a partner, sister, or your Mum; basically, whoever you connect with, symbolically.”
Wexford’s Áine Breen, a talented jewellery designer and silversmith who makes Liwu Jewellery, set up Lu & Mol’s jewellery and gift shop on Upper Esmonde Street in Gorey a year ago.
The popular store has legions of fans for its novel giftware which includes bespoke jewellery, bags, candles, journals, caskets and gift-cards. Classic on-trend jewellery pieces include initials and birthstones, and Irish brands such as Liwu Jewellery, Aria-V, Culu, Kybalion and Ale Walsh.
Áine Breen takes orders for bespoke jewellery, while jewellery repairs and engraving are available too.
