Following the roaring success of the very first Evolve with Viv event in Cork, model and actress Vivienne Connolly is once again gearing up to engage and inspire the women of Ireland with the second instalment in her innovative event series. Taking place from 11am to 4:30pm on February 24 at the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Limerick, Evolve with Viv is a masterclass like no other, encouraging women aged 40 and over to enjoy some well-deserved me-time, as they are wined, dined and treated to makeup, skin and hair demos, a fashion show, style consultations, shopping and much more.
Sponsored by RR Consulting and Financial Services, along with radio sponsors Classic Hits, the event promises to be as jam-packed and memorable as the first in the series, with an itinerary that is as exciting as it is diverse. While the event is aimed at women over 40 looking to reclaim their lives and personal identity, it is also open to younger ladies in search of an unforgettable day of treats, tips and tricks. Kicking off with a healthy but heavenly breakfast spread, guests will be entertained, while they eat with a variety of workshops that span health, beauty and fashion.
With an impressive array of demonstrations on offer throughout the morning, guests at the event will have worked up a voracious appetite just in time for a gourmet lunchtime spread, created and served by the Radisson Limerick and Viv’s team. After lunch, the treats will keep coming with a bespoke gin reception, sponsored by Evolve with Viv drinks sponsors, Silver Spear Gin, which is hand-crafted and distilled in Ireland. Guests will then have the opportunity to indulge in a spot of retail therapy thanks to the event’s pop-up shopping experience.
With shoppers ready to take a well-deserved break after their spree, what better time to sit back, relax and enjoy the fashion show, featuring local real-life models of all different ages, shapes and sizes, sporting outfits for every occasion from local stores.
Tying in with the fashion show, Vivienne herself will talk the audience through her top tips with a style session discussing wardrobe essentials, key trends and how to wear them, in an attempt to quash that nothing to wear mentality for good! The last order of the day is the Q&A featuring all the speakers from the masterclasses and Vivienne. An array of prizes will be given for best dressed, best social media posts, best questions and more. Vivienne will also carry out a raffle in aid of her chosen charity during which an abundance of impressive prizes can be won. To finish off the day around 4:30pm, all attendees will receive a goody bag worth over €150 filled with products and vouchers.
With the Cork event in September receiving rave reviews from the hundreds in attendance, it may seem like Vivienne Connolly has gone from model to role model in a short space of time, but after years of experience balancing personal ups-and-downs with life in the public eye, there are few better equipped to share and inspire.
“The demands of career and family are strong and constant, especially for women over 40 who have chosen to devote their lives to one or the other – or often both,” Vivienne commented. “Women of this age group have so much to offer but with so little time on their hands to focus on their strengths and in turn, build their confidence, they often find themselves a little lost and insecure in themselves and their self-worth. I’ve been there and have come out the other side, so now I want to use all the skills I learned over the years that helped me to build myself back up, along with my masterclass guests’ experiences, to do the same for women all over Ireland.”
