A Family Vision
At the heart of the brand are Rosaleen and Laurie, the duo behind HS2’s growth and reputation. Their story is rooted in both family and creativity. Rosaleen built her career in hairdressing through years of experience, skill and dedication to her craft, while Laurie grew up surrounded by the industry, witnessing first-hand the impact her mother’s work had on clients and community alike. Opening HS2 together allowed the pair to merge two generations of knowledge and ambition. Rosaleen brought decades of technical expertise and business insight, while Laurie introduced a modern, fashion-forward perspective and an instinctive understanding of what today’s clients are looking for.
The first HS2 salon opened in Midleton in 2015 and quickly built a reputation for its welcoming atmosphere, polished aesthetic, and impressive colour transformations. As word spread and demand grew, the brand expanded with a second salon in Douglas, bringing the HS2 experience to another vibrant Cork community. Today, both salons operate with the same philosophy — combining exceptional technical skill with a relaxed, friendly environment where clients feel completely at ease.
Blonde Specialists
HS2 has become particularly well known for its expertise in blonde hair.
