IrelandsEye reimagines knitwear with a new womenswear and lifestyle collection of beautiful, fluid pieces created for all occasions and all seasons. Haven is in tune with modern living and that amalgamation of comfort, contemporary and ease.
Haven is inspired by nature and our human desire to nest – to seek comfort in surroundings that nourish the senses. The collection features fine-knit separates in a neutral palette and a wide selection of great shapes; everything from considered sweaters, skirts and cardigans to cropped trousers, palazzos, and the fashion-forward Sanderling playsuit (€164.95), a loose-fitting, full length, all-in-one ideal for those who favour uncomplicated, unpretentious style.
Shapes are generous, feminine and gentle, made from soft, 100% extra-fine virgin wool. As with all pieces from IrelandsEye, each hand-finished item passes through 27 pairs of hands in its journey of creation in north Dublin.

Colours are inspired by the natural world with calm Khaki, Bone, Eggshell and Cedar partnered with Larimar Blue and delicious Currant. Many of the shades are textured with flecks of complimentary shades, influenced by nature’s ever-changing palette. The overall look is relaxed, with the enhanced interest of cable-knit stitching and accents on key pieces, such as the Corbin Cable Crew Neck Sweater (€159.95), and the Kestrel Cropped Trousers (€159.95) and the Osprey Funnel Neck Sweater (€159.95). where feature stitching runs down the outer seam.
Haven is a collection of knitwear created to be worn year-round, day or night, however life dictates. Pieces can be layered, dressed up and accessorised to become star players in a wardrobe, or worn daily as a woollen embrace to enhance comfort and relaxation. Key shapes and styles include the easy, long-length Raven Jersey Cardigan with feature cuffed sleeve, (€184.95), the cocooning maxi Whimbrel skirt (€169.95).
The collection extends into accessories to soften life further. The cute Mistle hat (€34.95) perches beautifully while the complimenting Sparrow scarf (€69.95) completes the look. There are two styles of cosy, oversized blankets; Wren is a two-tone intarsia style (€195.95) and Mockingbird is a textured rib in a choice of three shades (€179.95). Finally, the Havilah large square pillow comes in the collection’s full spectrum of colours (€84.95), perfect for elevated finishing touches. In creating Haven, IrelandsEye Knitwear’s Head of Design, Maria-Christina McPadden, collaborated with Ceadogan rugs in Wexford on a piece to echo the mood of this collection.
Says Maria-Christina McPadden of this new launch “We wanted The Haven Collection to have its own unique voice. Thanks to the work of several generations in IrelandsEye, the business is already known for its beautiful chunky knits and heritage stitching; so this time, we wanted to create pieces that might complement our more vulnerable moments, when we want clothes that flow with our mood and our surroundings, putting less pressure on fit, but instead, melting on and moving with the wearer to bring a year-round joy to dressing. It’s a progressive, next step for IrelandsEye, and one I was very honoured, as well as excited, to be involved with.”
