If words don’t come easy, Irish designed and made Liwu Jewellery has meaning and expression in every piece.
Wexford-based designer, Áine Breen, says the pandemic inspired more figurative and very personal jewellery, almost a touchstone to remind us of what matters most.
“We sought out reassuring symbols and charms, like a talisman countering harm, reminding us of the power of love and our inner strength, and bringing us closer to people we missed”.
The Liwu Christmas collection is online now at https://liwujewellery.com. It is perfect for the special people with whom we have a personal relationship, its creator says.
“The Lucky Horseshoe symbol, the Tree of Life, and our beautiful meaningful Celtic designs speak to the heart. They are for individuals who wear jewellery that feels personal and bespoke, and which says something about them and about the person who gifted the piece.”
Breen’s stylish and timeless designs embrace culture and heritage as well as personal meaning. Friends, family and lovers get to subtly express themselves, with private statements of affection.
The ancient symbols are crafted in various original pieces including necklaces, pendants, earrings and bracelets, so sets can be bought or individual pieces added to.
All are forged in 9ct gold or sterling silver, and available in 18ct gold-plated silver too.
Liwu means gift and each piece is made by skilled silversmiths in Ireland and comes, beautifully boxed, with a meaning card. Liwu Jewellery is priced from €55-€380 and the collection is available online, www.liwujewellery.com, and nationwide at select jewellery stockists, also listed on the website.
Beautifully presented gift cards are also available, where choosing becomes impossible, and tracked shipping of pieces is free worldwide on orders over €100. Last online orders for Christmas are up to Monday 20th December, and local collection from Aine Breen’s studio in Ballymoney, Gorey, is available up until Christmas eve.
