‘En Plein Air’ Artist Anastasia O’Donoghue Healy takes up Residence

A collection of paintings featuring rural landscapes and nature in West Cork are now on display at the Montenotte Hotel in Cork City.  Avid walker and en plein air artist Anastasia O’Donoghue Healy has been announced as the new artist in residence at the luxury boutique hotel.

Originally from Wexford, and formerly a teacher, Anastasia moved to West Cork a number of years ago to dedicate herself to her work of rural landscapes. With a heightened experience of nature, her work communicates the essence of ‘being’ present in our natural environment.

“Bringing the wilds of West Cork to our city centre location is very special to us at the Montenotte Hotel. We are delighted to welcome Anastasia O’Donoghue Healy as our Artist in Residence and look forward to our guests and visitors enjoying her stunning work which is on display throughout the hotel,”

said Brian Bowler, General Manager of the Montenotte Hotel.

The Artist in Residence programme was introduced at the Montenotte Hotel in 2018 to support and showcase the work of Irish artists at the hotel. The paintings are available to purchase at the hotel or through The Gallery, Kinsale.  For the full exhibition, see www.thegallerykinsale.com/exhibition
