The Metropole Hotel Cork announces Louise O’Neill as its ‘Writer in Residence’ for January

The MET at the Metropole Hotel Cork has unveiled the latest part of its recent multi-million euro refurbishment – The Snug at The MET. One of the main attractions of The Snug is its suitability for book clubs to meet. The Snug was launched by author, Louise O’Neill.

Acclaimed author, Louise O’Neill will be the ‘Writer in Residence’ for January. Louise is the author of Only Ever Yours, Asking for It, Almost Love and The Surface Breaks. Louise is originally from Clonakilty in West Cork.The Snug can also be booked as a private area for 10 guests or more to enjoy a night out and the Met Bar and Restaurant and has menu options from just €15 per person. It is also the perfect space to pre-book for a weekly or monthly book club or for a drinks reception.General Manager of the Metropole Hotel, Roger Russell said: “We are very proud of the beautiful Snug at the Met. It really is a cosy corner that people visiting the hotel just love to pop into.

The Metropole Hotel is part of the Trigon Hotel Group, which has 334 guest rooms across three hotels in Cork. The group comprises of the Cork International Hotel, The Metropole Hotel and the Cork Airport Hotel.
