Now Sharleen Collins reveals her beauty secrets and products she can’t live without this Valentine’s Day;
As January draws to a chilly close, we are looking ahead into Spring and the all-important Valentine’s Day Date Night Look. Top MUA Sharleen Collins shares her favourite products and the trends she predicts come February 14th.
Her go-to date night look? “I always start off by prepping my base with a sheet mask to add moisture and plump the skin and then my holy grail Crème De La Mer Serum, Moisturiser, Eye Cream and Lip Balm. It’s so important to take care of the skin as it is the canvas you are working on – the perfect base makes all the difference. When it comes to foundation I like to mix Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter with MAC Studio Fix Fluid to add luminosity and medium to full coverage. Once the skin it set, I warm up the cheeks using MAC Melba Blush, which has a pinky peach hue, and MAC Mineralised Satin Finish Bronzer in Medium Deep for a contoured look. Finish off with a smokey eye using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Sultry Palette, brown gel liner by Bobbie Brown and Ardell Demi Whispie falsh lashes, Charlotte Tilbury Lip Pencil & Lipstick in Pillow Talk and a sweep of the Anastasia Beverley Hills x Amrezy Highlighter on the tops of the cheekbones for an added glow.
As for a beauty hack you haven’t heard of? “My best trick would be to mix baby oil with a shimmering or glittering pigment for an ultra glow. For this I use a stippling brush to buff it into the high points of the face and body – particularly the décolleté – for the most beautiful glow. It’s more concentrated, so this is definitely a look that will take you effortlessly into night time.”
As for the one thing you’ll always find in this makeup virtuoso’s handbag on Date Night? “One thing I will never leave the house without is Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder and Bobbi Brown Clear Lipgloss to top up any lip on the run.”
The trend she predicts we’ll all go mad for it 2019? “I see Oils becoming a huge skincare staple this year. They are great for all skin types and ensure the skin is left glowing and ultra-smooth. My favourite is the Renewal Oil from Crème De La Mer.
