Great news: the impossible has happened. Following a winter that should surely go down in history for being the most dinghy, drak and most profoundly lengthy on record, the sun is shining.
Yet I am so clammy and over heated in this weather. It really is a window open, bed clothes thrown off situation. The hottest June on record was no exaggeration at all. My style these last few weeks in this hot and humid weather is cool and airy. Nothing that will stick to me or make me sweat further- I need breathable clothing. Think flowy dresses, loose fitting co-ords, linens and over sized shirts. Lucky for me there are so many options around and lucky for you I have collated a few! I am loving natural fabrics like linen that offer flow but the structure in the actual fabric maintains a certain amount of chic.
Never fully dressed have some gorgeous pieces which can be worn multiple ways which I love as you are really getting your moneys worth to be able to wear one item in so many different ways (check out their Instagram for their ‘how to’ videos)
Marks and Spencer’s also have some elegant but heat wave proof items for all occasions. M&S can always be counted on for good quality linen wear and linen is a must have in your summer capsule wardrobe.
I also have to add that I picked up the most gorgeous embroderie anglaise 2 piece in penneys last week. I wore it to a white party event I had on and had so many compliments on it PLUS it kept me cool.
I’ve found some versatile, cool summer pieces and as always included are some capsule items you can pull out every year.
Happy shopping!
