A game-changing new skincare range is closing the gap between natural plant-derived skincare and cosmeceuticals.
Super Natural Activity from Holos Skincare takes the best of natural skincare, and its wonderfully nutritious plant ingredients, and merges it with advanced cosmeceutical skincare, based on plant-actives.
The innovative Irish skincare brand, handmade by Holos in County Wexford, has created a range that is 100% plant derived, vegan, cruelty-free and eco-friendly.

For the first time a skincare collection has managed to harmonise nature, science and consciousness. Niamh Hogan, Holos creator, says of the new high-impact ethical skincare.
“We spent a year sourcing from supply partners with strong ethics who could guarantee vegan, cruelty-free, plant-derived active ingredients, as well as eco-approved natural preservatives”.
The collection of four new beauty products in the Super Natural Activity range complements other Holos products and ranges and can be used in conjunction with them.
They include a Micellar Pre-cleanse made with plant oils, an AHA Deep Cleansing Cream, a Triple Lipid Replenish Cream for dry and mature skin, and a Pre and Probiotic Spritz.
Some of the active plant ingredients in the Super Natural Activity range are AHAs (alpha-hydroxy acids) from bilberry, sugar cane, orange, lemon and sugar maple, pre & probiotics from chicory root, sugar beet, wheat and radish root and skin lipid synthesising extracts from pomegranate and beetroot. Holos skincare continues to be packed full of antioxidant and essential fatty acid rich ingredients like plant oils, butters and herbal and flower waters.
The next challenge, having formulated highly effective science-based skincare, was to use minimal packaging that was recyclable or reusable, Niamh Hogan says.
“We searched the globe for packaging that wouldn’t break if it didn’t have a box. We couldn’t use glass, so opted for aluminium instead and looked long and hard for the most attractive aluminium presentation”.
The beautiful pale pink aluminium packaging and pump dispensers are handy and practical, also ensuring the brand’s commitment to ethics, the environment and sustainability. Aluminium is one of the most recycled materials in the world, and the pretty containers can be easily washed and reused too.
Super Natural Activity by Holos uniquely uses as few ingredients as possible, while still producing high quality formulas to deliver optimum skin nutrition and diminish visible ageing.
Numerous recipes were tried and tested to achieve a 100% plant-based range, without synthetic ingredients, to be marketed as a truly clean, green and natural plant-active range.
Finding the right ethical ingredients that worked together while minimising the number of ingredients was challenging, the range creator says.
“We could have kept adding things in, until it all worked. Instead we took things out and replaced and tried again to create the perfect natural, active and ethical range. There simply isn’t another brand, like this, on the shelves”, Niamh Hogan confidently claims.
