Today, Very unveils The Very Collection – a refined evolution of its fashion identity, thoughtfully designed, elevated quality, and a confident, trend-focused aesthetic. This is style that works for you – a new direction where considered design meets effortless wearability, setting the tone for seasons ahead.

This evolution is Very’s answer to every woman seeking the perfect blend of individuality and effortless style. Designed to inspire seamless transitions between seasons, and elevated everyday dressing, this is the ultimate fashion formula.

Anchored by the Autumn/Winter 25 Lookbook, The Very Collection marks a new chapter for the retailer’s own brand offering. Curated with intention, it champions a foundation of timeless wardrobe essentials, refined seasonal staples, and modern accents – each piece crafted to bring ease and individuality to the everyday.

The AW25 Lookbook signals a bold shift in direction, presenting a wardrobe built on contrasts: prep reimagined, vintage glamour amplified with maximalist opulence, ‘70s heirlooms reworked with contemporary simplicity, and countryside codes subverted with crafted detail. Every element is designed to inspire confidence and personal style.

Launching on Thursday 4th September, the collection explores four key trend stories:

Corp Prep

A fresh take on collegiate classics, Corp Prep pairs smart pinstriped shirting and structured knits with head-to-toe denim and relaxed tailoring. Skirt sets and suede jackets refine everyday staples, while loafers and ballet flats anchor the look.

Sally Goodwin, Fashion Design Manager at Very, comments: “Stripes are at the core of this story – from polos to shirting – elevated with tapered shapes and tailored pieces that balance structure and softness. Denim underpins the collection, lending a casual fluidity to classic tailoring.”

West Country Craft

English heritage codes meet a Western and crafted sensibility in West Country Craft. Think checked outerwear, denim-on-denim with checked details, and barn jackets, softened by whimsical florals, exaggerated collars, and intricate embroidery. Brushed bronze hardware and argyle knits add depth to this juxtaposition of rugged and romantic.

“This trend feels like a natural evolution of Western influence with an English country twist,” Sally explains. “Leather and fringe are still present, alongside touches of intricate craft detailing which emerge through floral motifs and delicate cutwork, giving it a fresh, contemporary edge.”

Future Heirlooms

Future Heirlooms reinterprets 70s bohemia for a modern wardrobe. Flared jeans, cord suiting, tailored suede, and paisley-on-paisley prints are infused with shimmer, while heirloom knits bring tactility and warmth. The palette nods to nostalgia with rust, olive, and antique gold, punctuated by chartreuse.

Sally notes: “This story looks back to the styling over time, particularly the 70s era – suede and paisley are central, but we’ve focused on texture and finishing details, such as flocked denim and tonal contrasts, to introduce a contemporary sharpness.”

Elegant Opulence

High romance meets vintage glamour in Elegant Opulence, a maximalist story where velvets, faux furs, and lace are layered with sculptural ruffles, 3D florals, and encrusted embellishments. Velvet jackets and polka dots offer a playful, after-dark dimension, refined with decadent accessories.

“More is more with this trend,” says Sally. “Think corsages, bows, sequins, and intricate lace. What feels new is the colour palette – soft pinks and khakis replace the usual festive hues, making it feel unexpected and fresh.”
