Now Celebrity hairstylist, Carl Bembridge is passing on his master tips & tricks to perfecting his iconic voluminous waves at home using Be Almaí’s sell-out Wave Styling Wand.

  • Not all hair is the same, and it must be treated as such – so ensure that colour treated hair, especially Blonde Hair, is styled using a lower temperature, between 190-200 degrees, while natural, virgin and darker toned locks can withstand a higher temperature, between 210-220 degrees, for a longer-lasting curl/wave.

  • Start with clean hair, sprayed with a heat-protective spray of course, split into sections. I tend to work in multiple sections, separating the top and bottom half of the hair and styling in small pieces to achieve the best results.

  • The Be Almaí Wave Styling Wand (RRP £77.99 / €89.99) comes with a 25mm & 32mm attachment so you have the choice to decide how tight or loose you want your hair to be.

  • Hold the wand with the tip facing downwards and wrap each section of the hair in different directions to create a perfect tousled wave.

  • For a sleeker style, take clean, tidy sections and wrap flat around the barrel away from the face for a polished finish.

  • Hold the section of hair around the barrel for 5/10 seconds. Upon releasing, catch the section of hair in the palm of your hand and hold tight for 5 sections. This will create a stronger bounce giving a longer-lasting finish.

  • Leave tousled hair to cool for 5/10 mins before combing through & shaking out.
