From trending TikTok videos to statement catwalk looks, blush is well and truly back for 2022. For a number of years, the industry’s love for blushers fell to the wayside as neutral, hyper-contoured looks took centre stage. However, as the World emerges from two long years of loungewear and minimal makeup, it looks like we’re ready to embrace a youthful flush of colour and brighter complexions for the year ahead.

Up Cosmetics Cream Blush collection contains two beautiful shades to compliment all skin tones, creating that much sought-after dewy radiant glow.

Blush Pink (RRP €20.00)

Blush Pink (RRP €20.00) is the perfect buildable rouge with a creamy consistency packed full of pigment. A little goes a long way to deliver that sought-after natural radiance.

Blush Peach Glow (RRP €20.00

Blush Peach Glow (RRP €20.00) is a beautifully blendable blush with a peachy sunkissed colour to give the cheeks definition and a luminous shine.

One of the biggest blush trends this year is ’Blush Draping’. Popularised in the 70s and 80s by stars like Debbie Harry and Cher, is a technique that uses blusher to sculpt and shape the face, enhancing its unique structure.

Expert makeup artist Katrina Camacho (@bykatrinaleigh) has some expert tips to recreate the look:

1. Use a cream blush so you can tailor the level of blush

2. Use a bright colour for a youthful flush

3. Apply the blush higher on your cheekbones and around the temples, instead of just on the apples of the cheeks

4. Add a pop of blush to your eye look for a monochromatic finish

5. If you prefer a minimal look, keep the blush to the top of your cheekbones
