With so many benefits for the complexion, it’s no surprise that cleansing balm is fast becoming many people’s favourite skincare product! Here are just some of the reasons why you might want to switch to a cleansing balm:

Unlike regular cleansers, which can leave your skin feeling dry, cleansing balms have much creamier, hydrating  formulas. This lets them cleanse your skin  and remove makeuThey give your pores a thorough clean and can be used in place of makeup wipes. What’s more, they tend to have gentler formulas and often natural ingredients, meaning you can safely use them to remove makeup from around your eyes!

Due to cleansing balm’s oily base, it’s able to penetrate deep into the pores and remove any bacteria or excess sebum lurking below. The oils used in cleansing balms are often rich in vitamins and antioxidants. This means they’ll help rid your skin of free radicals and waterproof SPF.

With its innovative gel-to-milk texture, the new Cleansing Balm now complements Dr. Hauschka’s facial cleansing range. Its application is quite simple: When mixed with water, the balm forms a light milk that thoroughly removes impurities and make-up, leaving the skin feeling smooth and refreshed.

Dr. Hauschka Cleansing Balm is suitable for all skin conditions and for cleansing both in the morning and in the evening. The main ingredient which acts as a cleansing substance is Rügen chalk, a component long-known precisely for its cleansing effect. It has a particularly large surface area which absorbs impurities and excess sebum, as well as a fine-grained structure thanks to which it can be gently washed off.

The Cleansing Balm also contains organic apricot kernel oil which nourishes the skin and makes it supple, while extracts of anthyllis, birch and calendula give it a revitalising boost. The result is a mild formulation which helps preserve the skin’s own oil-moisture balance and prepares your skin perfectly for the next care step.

“We have developed the balm for all customers who want a simple, light cleansing product. The texture differs from our classic Cleansing Cream, but without sacrificing the Dr. Hauschka cleansing principle,” says Annette Greco, Head of Development at Dr. Hauschka. “The gel-to-milk texture suits everyone; at the same time, we are contributing significantly to environmental protection thanks to the fact that a little of it goes a long way”. This is because the low-water formula only transforms into a gently cleansing milk on moist skin. As a result, the amount of packaging needed can be reduced. Furthermore, the Cleansing Balm does not have a package insert, the tubes are made of post-industrial recycled aluminium and the folding boxes are also made of 100% recycled material with mineral oil-free inks based on renewable raw materials used for printing on them.

The Cleansing Balm can be used by people with atopic skin/atopic dermatitis and by those with beards. It also removes light make-up. However, to remove mascara, eyeliner and eyeshadow, Dr. Hauschka Eye Make-up Remover should also be used.
