4 contestants from across Ireland took on the challenge of eating as many hotdogs as they could manage in a 10-minute period at the annual Eddie Rocket’s 2023 Hotdog Contest in Sth Anne Street Dublin on Sunday. Contestants were monitored by dedicated judges to ensure they finished each hotdog and bun completely before moving onto the next one. Last year’s winner Gary Kelly was once again the overall winner on the day, eating 19 Hot Dogs in the allocated time of ten minutes.
FM104 DJ & social media personality Crossy was MC at the event and kept the audience entertained with fun facts on each contestant. The contest was judged on the day by media personalities including DJ Ray Shah, food influencer Mr Dish Karol Daly, Dancing
With The Stars’ Laura Nolan as well as model and beauty Guru Ally Garvey.
Crowds who gathered on South Anne Street to watch the Contest were treated to free Eddie’s hotdogs while Gary Kelly from Blanchardstown who was the overall winner received a free year of Eddie Rocket’s food for themselves and a friend.
Eddie Rocket’s diners across Ireland and Northern Ireland will be offering half price hotdogs on this Tuesday 4th July for eat in & delivery customers.
