What is the right timeline for pre-wedding skin treatments?
The minimum is 6 months out but ideally we have 12 months to prep the skin for the big day, with treatments at monthly intervals and closer towards the wedding day.
How to choose the right treatment for you?
A consultation is key. It will depend on if there are big issues to address or simply to enhance the skin and create a beautiful bridal glow. Your therapist will advise on what is needed based on the concerns.
Exactly how invasive are the recommended treatments?
Some may be more evasive depending on the concern. Fractional resurfacing requires downtime whereas a beautiful oxygen infusion can be performed the day before the wedding.
What are the post-treatment care procedures one must follow?
Typically no actives for 48-72 hours, no heat treatments or exercise for 24 hours, avoid sun exposure and wear spf every day post treatment.
When should someone book their brow/lip wax in relation to their wedding day?
4-5 days prior
What products do you recommend using in the weeks leading up to the wedding day to make sure your body skin is in tip-top shape?
Nothing too active like retinols, just hydrators and brighteners. Exercise, Water and Sleep are vital
What are the best treatments for achieving that day-of glow?
Intraceuticals oxygen infusion combined with LED light therapy
What is the latest date a bride can do a clinical treatment before the wedding?
The day before an oxygen infusion, 1 week prior if a skin peels.
It’s a day before the wedding and someone gets a pimple (like in My Big Fat Greek
Wedding), what do you recommend doing?
NOTHING!!! Let your make-up artist conceal it. If you pick it or apply something too strong it is impossible to camouflage.. Let them work their magic!
