Just off Grafton Street as you walk down vibrant Wicklow Street, The Wicklow Street Clinic is a long-established mecca for excellent skincare in Dublin. One of its specialities is offering alternatives to invasive treatments that can have strikingly positive effects on the skin for many months. The clinic boasts two new rejuvenating and anti-ageing treatments: Mesotherapy Skin bi-rejuvenation and the HIFU non-surgical Facelift.

What is Mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy is a bio-rejuvenation treatment that’s now available from the award-winning Wicklow Street Clinic.

The technique uses micro injections of vitamins, hyaluronic acid, enzymes, antioxidants, and plant extracts to rejuvenate and tighten skin. It’s one of the best solutions for temple hollowing or thinning. The clinic’s expert therapists use FillMed NCTF® 135 HA, which is a unique anti-aging, polyrevitalising solution that fills wrinkles and hydrates the dermis by providing the ingredients that the skin needs by a multipuncture injection technique.

Mesotherapy reduces fine lines and wrinkles and can be used on the full facial area, the neck or in pinpointed areas such as the eye area, temples, the nasolabial folds or the forehead.

Mesotherapy Bio-Rejuvenation costs:

€295 for the eye area

€295 for nasolabial fold

€295 for forehead

€395 for full face

€395 for full neck

What is the HIFU Facelift?

High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound or HIFU is an FDA approved alternative to invasive treatments. For women and men who experience skin laxity, jowls or neck ageing and are also apprehensive of Botox, Fillers and facelifts it may be an alternative treatment.

The HIFU Facelift at The Wicklow Street Clinic is a face-lifting treatment based on ultrasound that takes two to four weeks to see full effects; with results lasting up to a year.

HIFU can smooth wrinkles on the face and tighten and reduce the appearance of jowls,  tighten the skin on the neck, lift drooping eyelids and smooth and tighten chest skin.

How does it work?

HIFU is ultrasound focused below the skin’s surface causing cellular friction within molecules and precise target-point heating. The Friction between the molecules produces heat and thermal injury at the focal point of the HIFU delivery. The cells repair using collagen which tightens and restores elasticity and the structure of the skin.

What happens during a HIFU Treatment?

A deep cleanse of the skin is carried out by the HIFU-trained therapist and numbing cream is applied as there can be mild discomfort during the procedure. The treatment lasts from 30 to 60 minutes depending on the area it’s required on.

Cost for HIFU at The Wicklow Street Clinic:

Full Face: €500

Full Face and Neck: €700

Full Face, neck and decollete: €800

Jaw Line: €300
