Phytotech Vegan Collagen
One of the key technologies that powers Advanced Botanical Kinetics™ is a Phytotech Vegan Collagen, found in the collection’s leave-on products. In line with Aveda’s mission of care and vegan positioning, this collagen is meticulously harvested in Tarragona Province, Spain from plant leaves grown using vertical farming, an eco-conscious method that reduces land use, conserves water and minimizes energy consumption. Through advanced phytotechnology, these adaptive plants are given a blueprint for Type 1 collagen bioidentical to a fragment of skin’s collagen. Once absorbed, the plants generate fragments of potent vegan collagen within their leaf tissue. The result is a powerful molecule that works in harmony with skin to plump with hydration. These fragments are gently extracted and filtered for use in the Advanced Botanical Kinetics™ formulas, while leftover plant material is transformed into nutrient-rich compost.
Vegan Peptide Complex
