Irish actress Eve Hewson wore Irish designer, Simone Rocha at the 2024 Met Gala, the creator of coquette vibes, with bows representing femininity and strength in her designs. So, it makes sense that Eve’s hair by Halley Brisker, ghd UK ambassador, represents this.

Coquette hair – Get the look

  • STEP 1 – Begin by blowing out your hair smoothly from damp with the blow dry balm of your choice. I like to use  the GHD Helios hairdryer (£179, ghd) to create my blowouts.

  • STEP 2 – Using a stiff bristle brush and a strong hairspray, thoroughly saturate your hair and pull into a tight snatched ponytail just above the centre of the back of your head. Secure with an elastic hair band.

  • STEP 3 –  Taking the hair in the ponytail just created, run through with ghd Chronos (£289, ghd) to smooth the texture, reduce the density and add shine. I used the GHD Chronos.

  • STEP 4 – Using some hairspray to control the flyaways, split your ponytail in two and create two separate braids before bending into bow shapes and pinning onto the back of the head in a bow shape, pinning into place and leaving the tails to work with at the base of the original ponytail.

  • STEP 5 – Fold your remaining parts of the braids over the middle of the base of your folded area and pin into place leaving two tendrils to flow down the back of the head. Finish with a misting of hairspray.
