What is biocellulose and how does it work?
Originally used to treat skin burns, biocellulose had its origins in biomedics before being recognised for its aesthetic benefits. Made from coconut extract, biocellulose forms a tightly woven sheet which is naturally packed full of skin-boosting ingredients such as vitamins B and C, minerals, amino acids and peptides. 500 times denser than cotton or pulp, our biocellulose can hold up to 100 times its dry weight, making it 10 times more absorbent. This superfine structure enables it to mould to facial contours like a second skin, enhancing the transfer of our potent botanicals and active ingredients into the skin.
What’s the science?
The ideal skin temperature is (on average) 5°C lower than our actual body temperature.
