Ireland’s Most Immersive Christmas Experience Reveals Its Biggest and Most Magical Build Yet!

The magic of Christmas has arrived early as Elf Town unveils the very first look at its 2025 experience, following a special photocall at Dublin’s RDS this weekend, captured just moments after the exceptionally detailed sets were completed. The newly released images offer a glimpse inside Ireland’s most spectacular festive world ahead of opening on November 15th in Dublin and November 21st in Galway, as excitement builds following a complete sell-out season in 2024.

After a record-breaking, sell-out year in 2024, Elf Town returns bigger and more enchanting than ever before, with expanded builds, longer opening hours, new story chapters, and even more immersive sets across both cities. This year marks Elf Town’s 7th year running, since originally opening in Galway in 2018. A total of €3.7 million has been invested into this year’s experience, ensuring every corner of Elf Town feels like stepping straight into a very ‘extra’ Christmas movie.

“We’ve worked all year towards this moment,” said Elf Town Co-Founder Barry Battle. “These new images are just a small glimpse of what families can expect when our doors open in November. We’ve created something truly magical, not just for children, but for the whole family.”

Families visiting Elf Town 2025 will journey through more than 90 minutes of theatrical storytelling, passing through hand-built, film-set-quality rooms including:

  • Jack Frost’s Ice House – a real-ice wonder unlike anything else in Ireland.
  • Santa’s Reindeer Stables – featuring live reindeer (Comet & Cupid in Dublin, Dasher & Dancer in Galway), brought specifically into Ireland just for Elf Town.
  • The Elf Post Office, Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen, and The Towering Toy Shop (where each child chooses their own gift), & so much more.

Elf Town Co-Founder Anthony Hourigan added:

“This year’s Elf Town is our most ambitious yet. We’ve expanded both sites, in terms of both builds and opening hours, and pushed the boundaries of what’s possible in an immersive family experience. The sets, storylines, and surprises waiting behind the gates this year are on another level.”

Lara Martin and Logan Mulas-Keane are pictured in a world of festive wonder at the exclusive grand opening of Elf Town in the RDS Dublin.

With over 800 seasonal staff bringing the two experiences to life, Elf Town continues to set the standard for large-scale festive events in Ireland. More than 170,000 visitors are expected across both venues this season, with ticket demand already surpassing last year’s record levels. With some peak weekends already close to sold out, families are encouraged to book early.
