Chefs at the Metropole Hotel in Cork City have teamed up with local producers to create a new summer-themed afternoon tea.

 

Head Chef Mark Cronin and Pastry Chef Alicja have curated an exciting menu incorporating a range of locally grown berries.  The chefs have teamed up with Irish strawberry growers from around county Cork.

 

The sweet and savoury selection includes West Cork Strawberries Pavlova & Chantilly Cream, Raspberry & Plum Clafoutis, White Chocolate Blondie with Blueberry Gel, and Cucumber, Mint & Crème Fraiche on Granary Bread.

 

Diners will also be treated to a summer berries welcome cocktail made from Moineir Irish black berry wine from Wicklow along with gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup.

 

The new afternoon tea will be served seven days a week throughout the summer from 12.30pm to 4.00pm and is priced at €40 per person and €25 per child.
