Full Programme Now Live – Over 200 Events and 40,000 Visitors Expected
7 May 2025: Families across Cork and beyond are in for a treat as the Cork Summer Show 2025 prepares to welcome more than 40,000 visitors for two full days of fun, food, farming and entertainment on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 June at the Cork Showgrounds in Curraheen. With the full schedule of events now live at www.corksummershow.com, families can start planning their perfect weekend now.
Coinciding with Father’s Day on the Sunday, the 2025 show offers something for everyone — from bouncing castles and puppet shows to live music and cookery demos, interactive zones, and hands-on workshops.
This year’s headline act is Mundy, performing live on the Main Stage from 2–3pm on Sunday 15 June, while the Kids’ Zone will be buzzing with excitement all weekend long. Families can enjoy the funfair, remote control racing, martial arts demos, creative crafts, and special shows featuring Captain C-Man and the Basher Bacon Roadshow. There’ll be animal encounters galore in the Pet Dog Show, Dog Demo Zone, and Alpaca Pet Zone. The Field of Dreams project, run by Down Syndrome Cork, returns once again, and there will be a Relax Space also available, offering a calm, inclusive area for families. This year’s official charity partner is My Canine Companion, which provides accredited autism service dogs to children and families across Ireland, and will also have a stand in this space.
The weekend also features live cookery demos from popular names including TikTok star Edgar Kirby (Real Life Recipes), Orla McAndrew, and Cathy Fitzgibbon (The Culinary Celt) — with family-friendly recipes and wellness ideas served up alongside artisan markets and delicious local produce.
Children can get inspired by the many traditional skills demonstrations, from walking stick carving to basket weaving, while parents can enjoy browsing the craft and food stalls or watching the spectacle of the equestrian and livestock competitions.
Entries are now open for over 800 competition classes across a range of categories including baking, horticulture, art, crafts, and livestock. It’s a chance for young and old to show off their talents — whether you’re an avid grower, a home baker, or a junior stockperson.
Free shuttle buses will run throughout the weekend from Ballincollig Shopping Centre, Black Ash Park & Ride, and Curraheen Greyhound Stadium. An extended Bus Éireann 208 route will also be in operation. This direct service drops you right at the Showgrounds and picks you up for an easy return journey. Free parking is only available at these park-and-ride sites, and all visitors are encouraged to use the shuttle for a smoother, family-friendly experience.
Children under six go free but must be registered online in advance with a child ticket. There is also a special reduced price for ages 16–18. Discounted family and group tickets are available now at corksummershow.com.
Gerard Murphy, President of the Munster Agricultural Society, said: “The Cork Summer Show is a highlight of the summer for families across Munster and beyond. We’ve created a weekend that brings together everything people love — animals, food, music, crafts, and fun — with a warm welcome for all. Whether you’re entering a competition, visiting for the first time, or coming back for a family tradition, this year’s show has something for everyone. And we’d love to see as many people as possible using the free shuttle buses to keep the experience relaxed and enjoyable for all.”
