Esteemed guest speakers Dr. Fiona Barry, Dr. Clara O’Byrne, and Niall Healy join Network Ireland West Cork to share their expertise on holistic wellness at a bespoke event taking place in the Westlodge Hotel from 9:30am on 19th June. This special event is tailored to women of all ages, offering a holistic approach to health and wellness. The event will conclude by 1:30pm.

Speakers Biogs:

  • Dr. Fiona Barry: A graduate of UCC, Dr Fiona Barry holds an honours degree in Biomedical Sciences and a PhD in Pharmacology. Following several years of postdoctoral research in cardiovascular medicine she altered her career path and undertook a four-year licentiate in Chinese Medicine, studying in the prestigious College of Integrated Chinese Medicine (CICM) in the UK, where she graduated in 2004.

Fiona currently runs a very busy women’s health clinic, in her hometown of Cork, where she has successfully treated thousands of clients over the last 10 years. Fiona’s area of special interest is mind-body connection, which led her to become an accredited QTT (Quantum Thinking Transformation) practitioner in 2021. 

In addition to her work in clinic Fiona regularly takes part in corporate wellness programmes, presenting on such topics as menopause, female hormonal health and preventing burnout. In 2020 Fiona took on the role of a wellness consultant for the Irish company, Revive Active, and she was one of the key members of the formulation team for their menopause supplement, Meno Active. 

  • Dr. Clara O’Byrne: Dr Clara O’Byrne is a Chartered Psychologist with expertise in Disability and Education. A former NCSE advisor (Behaviour & Wellbeing) and special school teacher, she now runs a private practice in West Cork. Dr Clara’s extensive training has focused on positive coaching psychology, wellbeing science and disability advocacy.   • Niall Healy: Niall a native of Killarney, Co. Kerry is a qualified meditation teacher and breath coach with DRU Yoga and is a support tutor on the Dru Meditation Teacher Training programme. Niall’s journey to finding a meditation practice began with a spontaneous journey to Dzogchen Beara, the Tibetan Buddhist Retreat center situated on the Beara Peninsula. Niall provides talks on mindfulness practice on a regular basis to students at Ulster University, University of East London and more recently Munster Technology University.
